Amelia Tractor Parade
The Amelia Tractor Parade is an annual event in Amelia county to salute the farmers of Amelia County and the area agricultural community. The event itself is a fairly new, only a few years old, but growing every year. Leading the parade this year was an Oliver HG from around 1950, give or take a year or 2, pulling a trailer with the Grand Marshall T.E. Jarck and his family. Mr Jarck has been farming in Amelia County his entire life.
I think one of the greatest things to see is the children involved, the next generation of farmers, there were quite a few kids and teens driving the tractors, which ensures there will be more Amelia Tractor Parades in the future.
I don’t have a lot to say here, it was just lucky that we happened to end up in Amelia on that day because I thought the parade was next week. We needed something framed at Jerry’s Now & Then, Jerry does a fantastic job of custom framing, and I highly recommend him.
Editorial comment, there were a dozen or so Kubota and Kioti tractors in the parade, that I didn’t bother photographing.

Unfortunately, I am not enough of a tractor aficionado to give a good description of each of these tractors.
